SLFD Responds Mutual Aid To Wanaque

Posted on April 24, 2014

At approximately 17:10 hours on the evening of April 24, 2014, members of SLFD responded to a mutual aid request from Wanaque to the scene of a brush fire off of Wuester Lane in Haskell. Arriving members went to work assisting the Wanaque Fire Department with what was still an active scene. An additional tanker was brought in from Ringwood Borough Volunteer Fire Company #1 for water supply. Good progress was made in a short period of time and the scene was eventually turned over to the NJ Forest Fire Service. All units were back in quarters around 7 PM. Responding members included Capt. Pellegrino, Lt. Wanamaker, Lt. Tredy, FF Everson, FF Brandt, FF Nelson, and FF Davis.
