This is our Fire Safety Trailer. This purchase was made possible from a grant from the federal government and was built by the Surrey Fire Safety House Company. This trailer allows us to teach children and parents the importance of fire safety in a real life setting. The trailer has a working kitchen, living room with fireplace and a bedroom. Some of the special features include a heated door, real-life smoke (non-toxic), smoke detectors, air conditioning and heat. This trailer is also handicapped accessible to accommodate anyone who is interested. This trailer travels around to all of Ringwood’s schools as well as being specially featured in the Public Safety Expo held every fall. As well as serving the borough of Ringwood, it also helps other communities. This trailer is now being used in Prospect Park, Oakland, Pompton Lakes, Haledon, and Greenwood Lake NY, as well as numerous church groups and Cub Scout groups. We are now pleased to offer this trailer to families having block parties, birthday parties as well as any other community event to help us service our community.
