With our Cut-A-Thon now behind us, we have two additional events coming up in the near future!

First, our Comedy Night is coming up on April 26 starting at 7 PM! Tickets are available for $35 each which includes comedy, all you can eat/drink food and beverages, plus service and a great night! Guests must be over 21 to consume alcohol. The comedians for this event are going to include Bob Gonzo, Jeff Pirrami, and one additional comedian who is not yet known. Have a great night out while supporting your local volunteer fire department!

Next is our Craft and Vendor Show taking place on May 10 beginning at 10 AM. This event is always a hit and has great vendors participating! Come on out and support them and us. Additionally, we have a pet adoption taking place at the same time where you could take home a pet for you and your family! To view a current list of vendors, click on our "Events" page and scroll down to the listing for our Craft and Vendor Show. If you would like be a vendor, a limited number of outdoor spots are still available and can be applied for by downloading the application under our "Files" page.

As always, we appreciate your support and thanks to all who attended the Cut-a-Thon on April 6!

Oakland Borough Council Recognizes Ice Rescue Success

Posted on March 26, 2014
SLFD was in attendance this evening at the Borough of Oakland Council Meeting recognizing Pompton Lakes Police 911 Dispatcher Mike Finello and members of the Oakland and Franklin Lakes Fire Departments, Oakland Police Department as well as the Oakland First Aid Squad for their successful rescue of a person who fell through the ice in Ramapo Lake back in January 2014. Ringwood Fire Departments and the Ringwood Ambulance Corps were requested to the scene to assist that day. Excellent teamwork by all lead to the successful rescue of the victim that day and we appreciate and recognize the efforts of all who were on scene.

Ringwood Fire Departments Respond Mutual Aid To Paterson City

Posted on March 26, 2014
Members of SLFD are currently assisting the City of Paterson Fire Department as acting Engine 6x standing by at their South Side firehouse. Paterson was battling a three alarm structure fire earlier followed by a few additional structure fires in the nearby area which were fed by the high winds.

As we assist the City of Paterson, we also remember the two Boston Firefighters who were tragically killed in the line of duty this afternoon battling a nine-alarm structure fire.
